From Start to Finish!

Ok Ladies, now that the introduction is out of the way and we have established the purpose of this blog, lets get down to it.  God is calling for a revival in all of us.  Do you think the Lord, our God, went through all that trouble of putting Adam into a deep sleep and removing his rib to create us, all for nothing.  NO!  Our God had a purpose in mind from Start to Finish.

Ladies, we are in the fight of our lives as the adversary attempts to corrupt our men and ruin our families.  We are obligated as the rib designed helpmate to our husbands to operate in the will of the Lord for our lives.  Single women, this does not exclude you.  Your matching rib set is out there and you must be in a position to receive.

God has specifically laid out in His word the expectations and requirements He has for us.  Through the many women in the bible, specifically the Proverbs 31 woman, He has equipped us with the tools to live a life holy and acceptable unto Him (Romans 12:1).

We will first take a look at the Proverbs 31 woman.  This summer we will journey through the verses and obtain the skills through healthy, biblical application to convert our lives as a presentable sacrifice unto to the Lord.  This may not be easy for some, however, sacrifice sometimes require discomfort.  The very definition of the word expresses the level of discomfort, irritation, uneasy, and sometimes painful experience.  Sacrifice is the act of losing, surrendering, giving up something in order to gain something else (ChambersDictionary.com 2013).

No one likes to lose, surrender, or give-up.  However, the latter part of the definition of sacrifice should inspire you.  What a wonderful thought to give up something earthly to gain something heavenly.  This is what applying the principles of the Proverbs 31 woman can do for our lives.  We can sacrifice our earthly desires like extra sleep, television watching, searching the internet, shopping, talking on the phone, excessive socializing, etc...to obtain God's favor through the obedience of His word demonstrated in the Proverbs 31 woman.

This week, before we really dive in, I would like you ladies to read over the Proverbs 31.  Familiarize yourselves with the passages and really hone in on God's word.  When we start this study, we will break down each individual passage and exercise applicable activities in order to form Godly habits that will reflect the Proverbs 31 woman; FROM START TO FINISH!

I pray that we all renew ourselves in the word of God, that He may do a new thing in us.  Ladies, if we surrender ourselves, God has promised to do miracles in our homes and our communities (2 Chronicles 7:14).

I look forward to walking this journey with you.

Have a blessed week!

T. Carter
